I know this will be very boring for most people reading my blog, but I promise it will get better as the weeks come. So at my first prenatal visit I got a bunch of different stuff. I got a whole bag of different prenatal vitamins to try.
There are alot, so I won't be naming them, but as I start to decide my favorites I will list them later. They also gave me a magazine that explains pregnancy by month, & it has a bunch of pictures of what the baby looks like in the womb at each stage. I think it is sooo amazing how our bodies can handle to grow & support another human being. They gave me a pregnancy planner, which also has a bunch of tips & information. & last but not least... a "food saftey" pamplet.
I also got 2 meds to help with nausea, since my body hasnt gotten the morning sickness to allow it be realesed from my system.
* B-Nexa( prenatal vitamin with ginger )
* Promethazine ( perscription med )
Now that I have gotten through most of the boring stuff, I thought I would talk a little more about my visit & the doctor we chose... So here we go...
I had origanally wanted to go with a female doctor, but I would have had to wait till mid Oct to see her, so instead I asked for the earliest appt. with any of the doctors in her practice (She had been in a solo practice for a while but she now works with one other doctor). This is when they told me about Dr. Joseph Petty.
I was very nervous about seeing a male doctor for this, but Michael & I talked and decided to try it out and if I was still uncomfortable then we could go with a woman. After sitting down to talk about medical history and what to exspect for my visits we went and did an initial exam to make sure everything was going good. Michael was in the room for it all, & I'm glad he was so I felt better. After everything was done Michael & I talked again and decided we actually liked Dr. Petty, so we have decided to stick with him as our OB/GYN.
I'm very excited that it's been such a good experience so far. (:
I may have spoke too soon this morning about not acctually getting sick yet. All it took was my prenatal to hit my gag reflex, then it was all down hill. Lol.
